The starting point

A heritage specialist that needed to be found for heritage work.

Heritage Painting Services is a Sydney painting company that specialises in period homes, terraces, churches, schools and commercial heritage buildings. Its work is a very specific niche, so the site had two jobs: show the detail and care that go into the work, and answer the exact searches of the owners and managers of heritage properties.

What I did

A site built around one niche, with the measurement to grow.

I designed and built a fast, static website with a look that fits the work: deep green and gold, serif headlines and large photography of real projects. Instead of one generic services page, each heritage service has its own landing page: exterior, interior, residential, commercial, schools and churches, paint restoration and colour consultancy. Each one is built around what the owner of a heritage property searches for. The site also includes frequently asked questions and structured data, so Google understands the business. I set up Google Analytics and Google Search Console as well, so the client can see which pages bring visitors and quote requests, and which searches lead to them.

The result

A live, specialised site with nine pages, ready to be measured.

The site is live at heritagepaintingservices.com.au with nine pages: the home page, seven service landing pages and contact. Analytics and Search Console are in place from day one, so the figures that show how the site is doing on Google will be added here once there is enough data.
